Cy Schwieterman, Inc. (CSI) specializes in the installation of subsurface farm drainage tile up to 36″ diameter using a self propelled trenchless tile plows and wheel machines. Farm Drainage is the process of removing excess water from farm fields by lowering the water table to an average of two to three feet below the surface. By lowering the water table, this will allow the landowner to plant earlier in the spring and it causes less soil compaction when planting or harvesting. Lowering the water table also makes the crops root down deeper which provides healthier and stronger plants for drought and high wind conditions. All these benefits return back to the landowner with higher yields and a longer growing season. CSI utilizes RTK GPS, a highly accurate technology, for elevation grading, elevation mapping and tile mapping. CSI provides a tile map of each drainage project to the customer showing a detailed recording of the completed installation. This allows us to relocate the tile lines in the future if needed.
CSI has been licensed for over 45 years to install sewage systems, sewer taps and make repairs to them in Mercer, Auglaize, Darke, and Shelby Counties.
